Horse cushion

Thank you to "Dinky" for modelling for me and being the inspiration behind this collagraph design. The horse's head has been hand-printed onto fabric and then made into a unique piped cushion. The cushion back cover is made from a beautiful fine-grade pinstriped wool cloth in charcoal and brown and there is a zip fastener. The front cover is made from a thicker and wonderfully textured 100% cotton fabric. The piping is soft grey.

There is a quality feather cushion pad inside, which has a thick cotton covering.

I have used a collagraph plate to print the horse portrait onto the fabric.

I have washed the fabric once on a delicate cycle after printing to test the fastness of the printed design. As the design is printed onto the surface of the fabric, there will inevitably be some fading over time if you wash it too often and in hot water. I would suggest a cool wash on a delicate cycle, as infrequently as you can. Avoid using biological washing powder or liquid, because this will promote colour fade.

There are only four cushions available.

Each cushion was fully handmade by me - from design to print to stitch. It's reflected in the price, but you won't find another cushion like it elsewhere. If you're someone who appreciates artisan products, you will treasure it for its uniqueness.
